ABOUT THE COURSE:
The course title is: The Power of Duaa. Live, learn & Love.
A 2 day Ilminar which will guide, inspire and teach the student how to connect with Allah and His creation through Powerful Prayer & Duaa.

We feel a sense of belonging, protection, and safety when we call out to Allah. When coupled with the powerful formulae of supplication (Duaa) and remembrance (Dhikr), this calling leads to a feeling of tranquility within our hearts and minds.
With this goal in mind we have designed a course that will teach us all how to live, learn and love Allah and his creation to the fullest degree possible for the rest of our lives.

WHEN IS THE COURSE?
Weekend Ilm Intensive 14 will be held from Saturday April 11th 2015, (1:30 pm-6:15pm) till Sunday April 12th (10 am – 4:45 pm), 2015.
Breakfast will be served at 9:30 am on Sunday
WHO ARE THE TEACHERS?
This course will be taught by highly qualified Ulama & Scholars who will combine lecture, interactive learning through activity, readings from the textbook, and self-reflection. Students are encouraged to actively participate as learning occurs best when you are personally involved by asking questions & promoting discussion.

|2:15-2:30||RECITATION OF THE QURA’N & SUPPLICATIONS OF THE AFTERNOON|
|2:30-3:20||1. On the path of becoming Allah Centered –10 ways for 10 weeks!The first session will begin by quickly highlighting a few important details regarding the 107 page ‘Reflections of Pearls’ textbook all students will have before them. Thereafter the instructor will expound upon the central role Prayer and Duaa plays in the life of a believer as Duaa is deserving of more importance than oxygen and food according to Islamic tradition. The significance and etiquette of Duaa will be highlighted from the excellence and benefits to the pre conditions of Duaa. The session will conclude by learning how to become Allah Centered through 10 beautiful creative ways Insha’Allah over the next 10 weeks.|
|3:20-4:10||2. Connecting with Allah – From Vegas to Mecca! In English or Arabic!This gathering will be dedicated to highlighting the many places your Duaa will definitely be answered! Did you know that there are at least 11 types of persons whose Duaa is surely to be accepted? Are you among those enlightened eleven? Speaking about eleven, there are also 11 opportune times when your Duaa will be accepted as well. One moment among these energizing eleven times is on the day of Arafah! The session will end ensuring every student knows and learns the most special name of Allah; Ism Allah Al-A’azam!|
|3. Offering Duaa to the All-Loving, through the words of the All-Loving and The Beloved.The 3rd session will detail the many factors that both aid and prevent a person’s Duaa being answered or rejected. Thereafter the instructor will teach, explain and provide commentary on the famous 15 comprehensive supplications from the Quran that Allah gifted the Messenger, peace and blessings upon him through the medium of the Quran. This will be followed by teaching the student a few comprehensive Duaas of the Prophet, peace be upon him. The session will terminate with a discussion on the hadith in Saheeh Muslim, “For every Prophet there is a Duaa that is responded to.”
4. Special Duaa’s for Special Times
This gathering will commence by answering those oft asked questions, Is Allah even listening? Why isn’t my Duaa being answered? I’ve asked Allah 1000 times and I haven’t received any help or assistance, why? Should I stop or quit making Duaa? Insha’Allah the instructor will empower every student with such beautiful Prophetic counsel and guidance that these questions will be nonexistent moving forward. The student will be taught how Duaa will enable him/her to live to the most satisfying degree of living, learning and loving. The session will conclude with 10 extra special Duaas for 10 extra special times including Sayyid –ul-Istigfaar and Qunoot-Nazila

|10:15-10:30||SUPPLICATIONS OF THE AFTERNOON|
|10:20-11:05||5. In the Ambience & Aura of AllahThis gathering will highlight how to call upon and make Duaa to Allah through his most beautiful names including the 99 most beautiful Names of Allah mentioned in the tradition in Saheeh al Bukhari. The instructor will recite these names and every student will repeat (names are listed, translated and transliterated in the textbook) and replicate in union and harmony! What a beautiful ambience and feeling this will generate in the prayer hall first thing in the morning! Thereafter the excellence of sending benedictions and blessing upon the Messenger, peace be upon hi will be highlighted. The session will conclude with a discourse on Duaa and its relationship with destiny.|
|11:05-11:50||6. Vibrant Verses & VirtuesThis assembly will educate all of the students on the virtues of various chapters and verses of the Qur’an from the excellence of Surat al-Fatiha (which is a Duaa in of and itself) and Surahs al-Kahf, al-Yasin, al-Mulk and al-Ikhlaas, to Ayat al-Kursi, the last verses of al-Baqara and Muawadhatayn. The Instructor will also expound upon topics surrounding the concept of Tawassul and permissible acts during the course of Duaa|
|11:55-12:45||7. Selective Supererogatory SalahsThis session will be examining the many gifts which stem from Salah which is also classified as Duaa as per many Islamic scholars. The procedures and methods of the following Salahs will be taught: Greeting of Ablution, Greeting of the Masjid, Sunrise prayer, Late morning prayer, Prayer of the pious, Prayer for repentance, Prayer of decision making, Prayer for seeking help and guidance, Prayer for need, Prayer of Glorification, Night Vigil prayer and Prayer for travel. The session will conclude with How to make Duaa for your deceased parents, relatives, brothers and sisters?|
|12:45-1:45||8. DECORATIVE DAILY DUAAS IThis meeting will take a hand on approach discussing some of the innovations elated to Duaa. Thereafter 30 Daily Duaas related to everyday living will be taught with contextual relevance including a brief traditional halaqa on the Etiquettes and Duaas of Eating as penned by Imam al-Nawawi in his monumental book Al-Adhkar, The Book of Remembrances.|

|3:10-4:00||9. DECORATIVE DAILY DUAAS IIThe final session will teach the students 30 Daily Duaas of everyday living with contextual relevance including a brief traditional halaqa on the Etiquettes and Duaas of visiting the sick as penned by Imam al-Nawawi in his monumental book Al-Adhkhar, The Book of Remembrances.|
WHO CAN REGISTER:
This course is open for Brothers and Sisters. Although 85% of our course attendees are between the ages of 18-35+ the course is open to all mature students who are 16 years of age and above as the acquisition of knowledge is compulsory upon every Muslim (Ibn Majah).

The course fee for Weekend Ilm Intensive 14 is $80 per student. The course fee includes the textbook(s), breakfast, 2 lunches, and an informational package.

Please note that there is an early bird special of $65.00 for anyone who registers before March 12th, 2015. Any registrations post March 12th, will be the regular price of $80.00
